A study entitled “A Dynamic Operational Framework Integrating Life Cycle Assessment and Ride-Level Emission Modelling for Shared E-Scooter Systems”, prepared by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yelda KARATEPE MUMCU, a faculty member of our department, and our student Eray ERKAL, has been published in the journal Sustainability.
The article was published as Sustainability 2026, 18, 3202 and presents an integrated approach combining life cycle assessment and ride-level emission modelling for shared electric scooter systems.
The participation of our student as a co-author in an international peer-reviewed journal publication represents an important outcome of the applied research and project-based learning approach carried out in our department.
In addition, the study entitled “Design and Implementation of an Electric Scooter with Multi-Sensor Weight-Sensing Based Safety System”, prepared by our student Eray ERKAL as part of his graduation project, was submitted to the 8th BİLSEL International Sumela Scientific Researches Congress, to be held on 6–7 June 2026 in Trabzon, Türkiye.
